OUR VISION

To improve everyone's quality of life through treatment and education.
Ewa Mendez RMT

Ewa graduated from 3000h Advance Massage Therapy program at MaKami College in Edmonton. She believes that massage therapy can greatly improve one’s overall well-being and significantly decrease pain relating to soft tissue injuries and overuse.

From her experience, successful recovery of injuries is dependent on effective communication with clients; this promotes better recognition of symptoms and better enhances successful recovery planning.

Ewa advocates educating her clients on how to maintain positive health habits; she looks forward to applying her knowledge and experience to improve her clients overall quality of life.

Odette Youzwishen B.Sc (MLS) RMT (MTAA)

Odette is pleased to have joined our team in 2020, bringing over 25 years of massage therapy skills and experience to her established and new clientele.  She was certified in Massage Therapy through Grant MacEwan University (then College), and has taken numerous courses to enhance her training, including St. John's Neuromuscular Therapy, Switzer's Deep Tissue Massage, Bowen Technique, Myofascial Cupping, as well as Pediatric and Infant Massage.  She has also been practicing the Usui System of Reiki, a gentle form or energy healing, for over 30 years, and is a registered member of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta (MTAA).

Odette was privileged to be one of the massage practitioners in the Pediatric Integrative Medicine Trial at the Stollery Children's Hospital in 2013-2015.  She also initiated and provided massage therapy services in the Pulse Generator Employee Fitness Center, at the University of Alberta Hospital (1996-2020).

As a former medical laboratory technologist, Odette has long held the vision of helping  the health of others, and has found massage therapy to perfectly blend the science of the body, with the subtle art of healing touch.  Her meticulous approach focuses on the needs of the individual, and aims to provide relaxation while also being therapeutically effective.  No matter your age or stage in life, Odette believes EVERY one can benefit from massage. It not only brings relief of pain, stress and tension, but it can also create the "space" for reconnecting with one's whole self.  It is here, where healing happens.

Norgyun (Elke) Kriegel RMT

Norgyun is a caring and compassionate Massage Therapist who is registered with both the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Massage Association of Alberta. She completed an intense 2200 hour
program at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage in Toronto in 1998. She then travelled to Thailand to study Traditional Thai Massage at both ITM and the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai. She is one of the original Vodder-certified Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) Therapists in Edmonton, enabling her to do Combined Decongestive Therapy with patients who have lymphedema. Norgyun studied MLD with the Vodder School of North America and was very fortunate to do a 1-month placement in Austria at the Vodder clinic many years ago. There she learned how to treat patients with complex lymphatic issues from the world’s best therapists. It is because of her extensive experience that the Cross Cancer Institute often refers patients to see her. Norgyun is also a Reiki Master in the Usui system.

Drawing on her 23 years of experience in the industry, Norgyun incorporates many different elements into each treatment, carefully assessing which techniques will be most beneficial for each client. Techniques employed are myofascial release, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, PNF stretching, rhythmic mobilizations, joint play or osteopathic techniques. She has experience with peri-natal, deep tissue and sports massage too.

In her free time, Norgyun likes to read, cook delicious food, do yoga, go for walks in nature, meditate and spend time with family and friends. Traveling, however, is her main passion. In fact, she lived and studied in India for 4 years before COVID forced her to come home! Norgyun strongly believes that anyone can benefit from the nurturing qualities of massage therapy and therefore regularly receives it herself. She considers it a great honour to be a part of her clients’ healing journeys and looks forward to working with you.
